Vietnam Seafood Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP)

1. As a non-governmental organization, Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP or the Association) was established on June 12th, 1998 is operated on a non-profit basis with the aims of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the Association, its members and the community;

2. VASEP has more than 300 members including leaders in seafood processing, exporting and service provision;

3. Seafood exports of VASEP members represent 80% of the total seafood exports of Vietnam;

4. Many VASEP members own key components of the entire value chain with a sharp focus on 3 main industries including shrimp, pangasius and exploited seafood while pioneering in developing value chain production toward an emission reduction-based green and circular economy;

5. VASEP is one of the leading professional associations in Vietnam that regularly takes initiatives in organizing a wide range of activities to protect and support its members in business environment improvement, market connection, and brand development in addition to enhancing competitiveness and motivating the production force of farmers and fishermen.
